American Express Credit Card

Getting a credit card is almost indispensable today. It's no joke trying to order tickets for the theatre without your American Express card, if like me you have cancelled it. I found I couldn't join my local gym, order clothes over the internet or even reserve a plane ticket to New York, online, the basic stuff of life. The old days of cash being king are gone.

It is a global phenomenon buying products or services with your American Express credit card without even caring whether or not we can afford them or even need them. Your American Express card may be convenient but there is a heavy penalty for buying now and paying later. In some places, credit card debt is spiraling out of control. In America it is true to say that credit card debt is probably one of the biggest problems facing us.

That is one of the main reasons why I had to cancel my American Express credit card in the first place. The problem was it was too easy just hand over my card and buy things without seeing the money being spent. Mounting debts lead me to realize that I had been using my card for everything and anything including food! I was dealing with a debt that I could not possibly pay, and I was in a state of panic.

The debt refinancing service I turned to were my best hope and I managed to get the debt repayment under control. To say the situation had become a nightmare would be a gross understatement. It took some time but the American Express credit card has gone and so has my debt. A lot of people would think that it is rash to blame it on my credit card, but I think that they do not understand something about human psychology.

When you have to pay for everything with cash, you are so much more conscious of how much it costs. Like I said before you are not as conscious of the cost when you use your credit card. Just handing the card over time and time again, it is almost addictive. I no longer have an American Express credit card problem!
